It is important that children acquire a range of skills, knowledge and understanding using different forms of digital technology and are able to use these to support their continuing development.
Children are encouraged to research and interpret information using various sources including: CD Roms, printed material, questioning and the internet, and evaluate their research for suitability and accuracy.
Children will investigate different simulations and explore models for real life scenarios; this will introduce the idea of spread sheets and databases for KS2. Children will also investigate inputting instructions and creating sequences to control and monitor various everyday events.
The children have access to a wide variety of digital resources and they are used consistently and creatively across the curriculum. The recent introduction of iPads into upper KS2 has been enthusiastically received and provides the children with new ICT experiences that they are eager and willing to share.
We are continuously teaching E safety across the whole school.
