Lincoln Castle Visit and workshops
Year 3 and 4 visited Lincoln Castle on Thursday 18th January. They took part in a Crime and Punishment Wow Day.
During the day, each class got a chance to have a guided walk of the castle walls, which was really cold but interesting.
The children also had a tour of the Victorian Prison and chapel. They loved dressing as prisoners, the wardens and the prison matron. They had a chance to do some of the activities the prisoners would do like oakum picking and rag rug making.
They also played the excellent Prison Escape Game; finding clues to Joseph Ralph's incredible escape attempts.
It was an excellent trip to go with our topic of Crime and Punishment Through the Ages.
