VE Day Challenge – Friday 8th May

Uncategorised, | by Lynn Deans

Today’s challenge comes from Mrs Norman

Today Britain will be commemorating the 75th anniversary of VE Day when the guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe.

Due to the coronavirus restrictions VE day celebrations will not be able to take place, but it is still important to mark the occasion, share your pride in our country and honour the men and women of WW2.

You can make your own special VE day 75 ‘Great British Bunting” bunting to display in your window at home.

You will find the instructions of how to make some bunting on the website address here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/4TrqYDyf4PMdLypxzyTwGDg/great-british-bunting

You can use any paper, card, cereal boxes, string, ribbon, sweet wrappers, felt pens, poster paint and whatever you can find.

Hang your bunting with pride over the weekend. We would love to see your bunting so please send us a picture to go on the website.
