Spring Term Starts – January 6th 2021

Happy New Year to you all.

I hope that you have had a great Christmas, even if it wasn’t the one you had planned.

Fingers crossed that as we move into 2021 things start to get ‘better’. After all the government announcements about schools over the last few days and the news coverage about whether or not school will reopen, I wanted to confirm that we will be opening as planned on Wednesday 6th January.

As Grimsby has stayed in tier 3 and we are a primary school, (most legislation is about secondary schools), we are safe to reopen. I just want to reassure you all that school has been deep cleaned. All the procedures we have had in place to keep the children and staff safe will still be there, including; bubbles, extra cleaning, hand washing, one way system, staggered start and end times, limiting things going between home and school and timetable tweaks. Unfortunately Covid is still there and in our communities so, to keep our school community as safe as possible I would really appreciate you continuing to observe the rules around isolation and testing. These haven’t changed.

If anything changes we will let you know as soon as possible. Enjoy the last few days of the school holidays and we will see you all soon.
