Around the World

This term our class have learnt about Australia. We have explored physical and human features of Australia, learnt a traditional Australian bush dance and researched interesting facts about Australian animals. In our art lessons, we experimented with aboriginal dot painting techniques and developed our drawing skills when drawing sea turtles.

Crime and Punishment

This term our topic is Crime and Punishment. The children have found out about the legacy of the Roman justice system and crime and punishment through the Anglo-Saxon period. They will be learning about crime and punishment in the Tudor and Victorian periods and will also deepen their historical awareness of how our past is constructed through studying the famous highwayman Dick Turpin. There will also be the opportunity to reflect on what they have learnt in this unit. Our class are looking forward to visiting Lincoln Castle to learn more about Crime and Punishment through the ages.
